Since the beginning of this academic year, we have introduced Sign Language throughout school using BSL (British Sign Language).
Last week, we invited parents to come along to a BSL workshop and find out more about the project that their children are taking part in.
They were introduced to history surrounding the purpose of the language, given visions for the future of the language and encouraged to take part in the project through the wider community.
We have BSL Ambassadors in every year group, who were on hand to share their views and teach the parents the fingerspelling alphabet. We even had some challenging activities for parents to take part in.
It was a lovely way to bring our parents into school and for the children to share their passion for BSL.
