HAPPY NEW YEAR and welcome back to Term 3. I hope you all enjoyed a fabulous holiday with family and friends.
We have a very busy and rather exciting term ahead with Book Week and Safer Internet Day. The teachers have planned many more amazing activities which you will be able to see on the website.
Our Value this month is ‘Resilience’. Please discuss this with your child at home.
Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity. It is a necessary skill for coping with life’s inevitable obstacles and one of the key ingredients to success.
The school calendar is up to date with all of the latest dates. Please ensure that you keep checking the website and calendar for further information.
Your support so far this academic year has been wonderful and I am sure you will continue to support your children and the school. A really good way to do this is to attend our curriculum sessions as well as ‘Stay and Play’ and ‘Linger and Learn’. Many of our year groups have had 90% attendance, which is super.
Our biggest effort needs to be improving attendance as this will ensure the children are in school and learning. We continue to have a lot of requests for extended holidays but as I am sure you are aware, we cannot authorise any term time holidays. Please, please come and speak to me or a member of the office staff before you books any flights so that we can explain what will happen if you take a holiday in term time.
We are all looking forward to yet another amazing term at Drove.
