No child is the same, and neither are the challenges they face. As a school, we do the best to make sure that every child can achieve the best they can in school.
It is also our job to help support our families with any issues outside of school that might be hindering their child’s learning.
That means that we need to work together with families to get the best for our children. Our new Family Support Worker Emma Rant is here to work with you and your family to help you face the varied challenges for each child.
Examples of these issues can often include:
- Challenging behaviour.
- Picky eaters.
- Poor sleepers.
- Concerns about your child’s emotional well-being.
- Money worries.
- Housing difficulties.
Speaking about her role, Emma says: “Being a parent myself, I understand that having children can sometimes be hard work.”
“I am happy to listen to worries you may have about being a parent.”
“I will do my best to support you to work out how we can make your family life happier!”
If you would like to arrange a meeting with Emma, either at your home or at school, you can complete a referral form to drop in at school, or call the school office on 01793 818608.
