Artswords, Swindon Libraries and International Storyteller Cat Weatherill invite you to a FREE event at the Central Library this November to kick off this project and get YOU involved!
We are the stories we tell of ourselves and each other.
Stories define who we are and our place in the world.
Stories give meaning to our past; help us know the present; and feed our hopes for the future.
Many different people, from all parts of the UK and from all over the world, live in Swindon. All have stories to tell.
And we, at Artswords, want to help those stories be told.
During the coming months, international storyteller Cat Weatherill, will welcome and work with the many and diverse individuals and communities of Swindon. She will encourage and help everyone to tell their story.
Whether Swindon born and bred, or moved and settled here to work on the railways, or a member of the many established communities in Swindon, or a newly-arrived refugee or asylum-seeker, we want to hear your stories . .
Cat would like to help those who want, as individuals or groups, also to develop the skills to tell their stories to a live audience, at an event in the Central Library, as part of the next Swindon Festival of Literature in May 2018.
Everyone has a story to tell, so everyone is welcome!
