STUDENT PARLIAMENT

At Drove, we feel that it is very important for children to have an awareness of both their rights and responsibilities as members of the school and the wider community. In order to give pupils a voice within the school, each year two children from each class are elected, by their peers, to become representatives on the school council.

Student Parliament members are expected to show the highest standards of behaviour and attitude in and out of school, in order to act as role models to other children. They also get the chance to meet with adults within the school in order to voice their opinions and ideas to keep the school moving forwards.

Winter Hampers

Student Parliament Winter Hamper Project
Nov 2015

Student Parliament has begun its first fundraising project for our school’s Solar Panel fund.

The members have decided to raise money by asking for donations of food and drink to create a class winter hamper. Then they will sell raffle tickets for 50p per ticket on 14th December. The raffle will be drawn during our final assembly of Term 2!

You’ve got to be in it to win it!

Here are some of Student Parliament wrapping up the winter hamper boxes ready for the donations to be collected by the 8th December!
